Recent News
Specific Plan Now Available Online
The Public Draft of the Uptown / Town Center Specific Plan dated July 2, 2009 is now available online for comments. The Specific Plan is organized into 5 chapters – 1) Introduction to the Specific Plan, 2)Vision and Plan, 3)Infrastructure, 4)Implementation, and 5)The Development Code. Please visit the ‘Project Information’ page to download PDF files of the document.
The City will be scheduling workshops and hearings to receive comments on the Public Draft on dates to be determined. Please visit the ‘Calendar of Events’ page periodically for the dates and times. Readers are also invited to submit their comments at any time by providing feedback by clicking the link on the right side of the page.
Charrette
Building on the input gained during the pre-Charrette discovery process (the existing conditions analysis, stakeholder interviews, public workshops, and discussions with City and agency staff), the consultant team led a week-long Charrette to translate the recommendations and desires of the City, the stakeholders, and the community into a physical plan. The work produced at the end of the Charrette will form the basis and structure for the Specific Plan document.
Combined Workshop Summary
The public input process successfully continued on during the Combined Workshop, with approximately 100 community members showing up at the Paso Robles Event Center to further inform the Uptown and Town Centre vision.
Town Centre Workshop Summary
The Town Centre Workshop was extremely successful as approximately 100 owners, residents, and stakeholders came to the Paso Robles Inn Ballroom to provide their input into the future of Uptown and the Town Centre.
Uptown Workshop Summary
The Uptown Workshop was a resounding success with over 150 owners, residents, and stakeholders showing up at Georgia Brown Elementary School to help shape the future of Uptown and the Town Centre.
